If you’re in need of extra storage space, there’s loads of inexpensive options available around town. We are quite tight on cupboard space so we needed something extra to store some of our china. I picked up a free-standing storage box in TK Maxx. The shop has a wide variety of such units. Unfortunately, as their tagline goes, “when they’re gone, they’re gone”, so if you see something you like, you should just buy it there and then.
Due to its size, we decided to use it for our cups and saucers. In terms of the cups; the coloured espresso cups are from the Paul Costelloe range at Dunnes Stores and they retailed at €20 for the set of four. Whilst the black and gold teacups, also from the Paul Costelloe range were bought on sale for €6 each. The glass espresso cups were purchased at Marks & Spencer at a cost of €4 each and the green toothpick holder is from Tiger and also cost €4. Both the small measuring cups and the serving bowls were presents.
